Friday, Caroline and I went on a playdate with our playgroup to the Marin Art and Garden Center. It was beautiful and relaxing. The best part was that the other moms took Caroline most of the time so I could lounge around at our picnic area all. by. myself. PERFECTION! Friday night I made this for dinner...
and it was great! I substituted chicken for the sausage and added spinach. Later, we watched Black Swan...
which I though was totally bizarre and I just couldn't get into it!
Clint cooked breakfast Saturday morning and we ran some errands, including an insanely expensive get-ready-for-babys-arrival Costco run. I don't think we're ever gotten out of there without the bill giving me a heart attack. We headed over to CVS for a quick blood pressure check after that. It was high for me but back in the normal range...hooray! I think I was asleep by 8:45pm on Saturday night. Pathetic but wonderful ;)
Today we lounged around and ran a few quick errands. Blood pressure check #2 was much higher than yesterday so I am going to check it again tomorrow and go from there. Hopefully it will be back to normal! As much as I would love to meet Catherine, I am NOT READY and we have no family in town until the 17th to help. Taking care of both alone wouldn't be a huge deal but if my BP continues to rise than I'll have to have a c-section as they won't induce a VBAC and the only way to "cure" pre eclampsia is with delivery. Caring for both Caroline and Catherine alone during the day after a c section is just not logical! I honestly don't even know what I would do since you can only lift 10 pounds...and Caroline is definitely not 10 lbs anymore :) Yikes! Fingers crossed that it is back down tomorrow!

Taking care of two after a c-section would NOT be easy, so I'm praying your pressure goes down honey. The unknown is always scary for me because I am such a planner (like you) so I totally get the stress you feel right now. Hang in there girlfriend!!
