The Big PRE-E

So things have been a little crazy around here. Last weekend we packed up Caroline and headed down to Monterey to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We drove down Higway 1 and it was beautiful. The aquarium was great as well though it was packed and we definitely would not have survived without our borrowed Kelty Kids backpack. It was a lifesaver. Regardless of that I was pretty sure I wasn't going to be able to walk for a week once we got back to the car. My feet were the size of Texas!

Thankfully we got home and relaxed. We put Caroline to bed, put a pizza in the oven and watched "The Switch". Such a cute movie!

In other good news, my legs did work properly the next day....though barely :) Regardless, I am STILL huge!

I ran my first playgroup with my moms group on Wednesday. It was really fun though the park was HUGE and it was impossible to really talk to any other mom without losing your child in the process. Hopefully the park next week will be smaller. Wednesday afternoon we meet up with our sweet friends Suzanne and Joshua. We got frozen yogurt and then headed to our neighborhood park. Caroline has a SLIGHT crush on Joshua and follows him around everywhere. Adorable! Unfortunately, all that good time wiped me out so I had to cancel our Thursday morning playdate at the Farmers Market. I honestly couldnt be more pregnant at this point :)

Today I went to my 37 week appointment. My hands and feet have been super swollen, almost painful, so I was a little worried. Sadly, my blood pressure was also high and I had an abnormal weight jump so my doctor is concerned about pre eclampsia. We'll see how next week goes. If everything is still positive for pre eclampsia that a c section will be scheduled. They can't induce me since I've had a previous c section. Yuck! I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything subsides on its own by next week. I'll be so mad if Catherine is head down and ready to VBAC and I have to have a c section because of this!! Ugh!

An update on my mama: She has been in great spirits lately. I talked to her briefly today and she was in a great mood. She'll have the catheter removed from her lung next week which is fantastic. Also, her blood cell/cancer count look promising. Hooray!!
